Cuba was one of the first countries to implement the railway system, in fact the train in Cuba was inaugurated 11 years earlier than in Spain. This boom in the railway system was mainly due to sugar cane, since it was mainly used to transport it.
Nowadays the railway system is a bit outdated, since with the passage of time it has not been renewed on a regular basis. Even so the railway system offers you the possibility of knowing all the provincial capitals through it, and it is not recommended for tourists who have a fixed itinerary or have accommodation reservations, since the schedules are fixed daily, being frequent problems of punctuality and departure of trains.
