Soroa, considered a Biosphere Reserve and protected by UNESCO, is a beautiful natural park located in the province of Artemisa, Cuba. Located in the mountainous limits of the Sierra del Rosario, its colorful and exuberant vegetation with tall trees and beautiful orchids, has earned it the nickname of the Rainbow of Cuba.

Here you can find true wonders such as the Orchid garden of Soroa, a beautiful botanical garden where thousands of orchids and other tropical species grow; the Rainbow Waterfalls, a natural waterfall that is one of the geographical wonders of the country; or the Roman Baths and natural pools where you can relax and refresh yourself.

The history of the name of this beautiful spot dates back to the 19th century, when the Spanish brothers Lorenzo and Antonio Soroa Muñagorri visited this part of western Cuba and, captivated by its beauty, established a coffee plantation in the area, the La Merced coffee plantation, whose ruins can be seen today as you pass through Soroa.
