Cuba stands out from the rest of the countries of the insular Caribbean for its wonderful natural landscapes, since it has numerous and well-kept natural parks that are one of the most coveted attractions in the country.

Some of its parks are internationally renowned, while others are an essential enclave for any tourist who wants to know Cuba minimally.

Among them is the Viñales National Park, famous for its sugar, tobacco and coffee plantations; and the Viñale Valley, with its impressive mogotes full of vegetation and the striking Mural of Prehistory, a place that together with the Cueva del Indio make up one of the most visited points of Pinar del Río, the westernmost province of Cuba. In addition, this province also has two beautiful and paradisiacal keys full of nature where the impact of man has been reduced to a minimum: Cayo Levisa and Cayo Jutías.

In the provinces of Artemisa and Mayabeque, which surround Havana, are the Soroa Natural Park and the Las Terrazas ecological complex, both located within the Sierra del Rosario Biosphere Reserve, a beautiful enclave of great natural beauty whose main Attractions are known as Salto del Arcoíris, an impressive natural waterfall, the towns of Soroa and Las Terrazas and the Orquideario de Soroa, a botanical garden where you can find more than 20,000 specimens of 700 species of orchids.

In the province of Matanzas is the Peninsula de Zapata National Park, famous for hosting the exuberant Ciénaga de Zapata and the Great Natural Park of Montemar, where the beautiful Laguna del Tesoro, Boca Guamá, the Taino Village and the historic Bay of Pigs.

Already in the most central area of Cuba is the Sierra del Escambray, which gives rise to the Great Natural Park of Topes de Collantes, where the famous Topes de Collantes and El Nicho waterfalls are located, located in the vicinity of the cities of Cienfuegos and Trinidad.

Another of the most important natural parks in the central area of Cuba is the Caguanes National Park, which with its 10 small keys, is declared within the Buenavista Biosphere Reserve.

Already in eastern Cuba, the Alejandro de Humboldt National Park stands out, located in the provinces of Holguín and Guantánamo. The park has several visitor centers, trails, routes, rural accommodation and camping areas.

The small Isle of Youth is also home to important natural parks such as Punta Francés or the Ciénaga de Lanier National Park, considered the third most important wetland in Cuba.
