Sancti Spíritus is located in the heart of the island of Cuba. The capital of this province receives its same name, Sancti Spíritus. The province is made up of 8 municipalities: Sancti Spíritus, Trinidad, Cabaiguán, Yaguajay, Jatibonico, Taguasco, Fomento and La Sierpe. The oldest municipalities are the capital itself and Trinidad, known as the museum city.

This province, which covers almost 7 thousand Km², is a combination of rivers, preserved valleys, incredible mountain systems, natural landscapes, spectacular beaches and beautiful monuments. The cultivation of coffee, sugar cane and tobacco offers tourists beautiful and unique landscapes worth photographing, such as the Valle de los Ingenios and the unique Torre Manaca-Iznaga, which is built on an old sugar plantation.

Sancti Spíritus is one of Cuba's most distinguished provinces due to the numerous historical figures and personalities who lived there, such as, for example, Miguel Companioni, an internationally recognized composer; or Arnaldo Díaz García, an important figure in the Cuban political scene.

During your visit to Sancti Spíritus you will be able to visit beautiful monuments, such as its exceptional museums, including the Casa Natal Serafín Sánchez, the Museo Provincial de Sancti Spíritus, the Museo de Arte Colonial, the Palacio del Conde Brunet, now the Museo Romántico, a very important and ancient building; Puente del río Yayabo (Yayabo river Bridge), an absolute jewel of the colonial era; andTrinidad, a city that is a monument in itself.

Sancti Spíritus offers its visitors the privilege of living its traditions first hand, especially its pottery. In the Casa del Alfarero you can enjoy this laborious tradition live and in person. Other traditions you can enjoy and contemplate are the traditional dances, the traditional songs, the fairs, the canchánchara drink and many more that you cannot miss.

Some of the highlights of your visit to Sancti Spíritus are its amazing green and natural areas, where you can see its diverse fauna and flora. Some of them are the Puente del río Yayabo, Topes de Collantes, Lomas de Fomento, Alturas de Banao, among many other places that will leave you breathless.
