International Poor Film Festival: It takes place in the city of Gibara. Its objective is to create an alternative cinema circuit where low budget films (maximum $ 300,000) compete.

Carnival of Havana: It takes place in the month of July. In this festival the city is divided into neighborhoods, and each one of them organizes their performance and dance that they will perform during the parade. Each group prepares its performance months in advance. On this day you will be struck by the live music, the dances of the different groups and their colorful costumes.

During carnivals in Cuba it is common to eat delicious meats such as roast pork, tamale or chicharritas, typical dishes of traditional Cuban cuisine.

Remedios, in December, if by any chance you are lucky enough to spend Christmas in Cuba, this should be a mandatory visit point, in the town of Remedios, on December 24 there is a street party that means the culmination of Christmas, in which you will enjoy fireworks shows, it is not the best known party, but once you have gone it will leave you wanting to return.
