The building that contains the Museo Municipal de Puerto Padre (Municipal Museum of Puerto Padre), also known as Museo Fernando García Grave de Peralta (The Museum of Fernando García Grave de Peralta), is considered the most beautiful construction of Las Tunas. Constructed at the beginning of the 20th century with an eclectic style, pick up more than two thousand fascinating elements related to history, the cultural and natural heritage of this blue villa.
This Museum has five interesting showrooms: the Archeology Room, History Room, Natural History Room, Art Room, and the Room of temporary exhibitions. There you can find historic pieces, documents, photographs, weapons, archaeological elements, art, painting, sculpture and numismatics. Archaeological pieces of the historian Fernando Garcia from Puerto Padre, from whom the museum takes its name.
Its function is also that of helping in conservation and protección of the heritage of the place.
