The Loma de Cunagua (Cunagua Hill) is located about 18 km east of Morón, in the province of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. You will be able to see it on your way through the Carretera de Bolivia, since it rises like a giant mountain in the shape of a termite mountaineer that towers over the plain.
The hill is a protected area of flora and fauna, and there are a lot of trails that you can take if you are hiking and bird watching enthusiast. It is worth the walk for the rich diversity of species that you may come across on your way through this unique natural spot. Another activity that you will have at your disposal is horse riding, a perfect sport that you can enjoy to tour the place and relish nature.
At the summit, you will also find a ranchón, a Cuban style restaurant, where you will be able to taste the typical traditional Cuban food.
The Loma de Cunagua, at 364 meters above sea level, is the highest point in the province, so you can enjoy exceptional views.
