Puerto Esperanza is a quiet fishing port in the Pinar del Río region of western Cuba. The town is located 6 km from San Cayetano and 25 km north of Viñales. Stroll through its harbour framework and head from the bay's long boardwalk towards the warm waters of the Caribbean.
The town is rarely visited, yet feel free to explore its buildings and local customs, which seem to be locked in time. The landscape is adorned by mango plantations, which are said to have been first cultivated by slaves in the first decade of the 1800s.
