The Cementerio Tomás Acea, also called jardín cementerio (cemetery garden), is a cemetery that with its neoclassical tombs and pantheons that stand in a beautiful garden, imitates the spectacular Greek Parthenon. It was declared a National Monument in 1978 due to its cultural and architectural values, and you will be able to visit it in Cienfuegos's city, in Cuba.
Founded in 1926, the Cementerio Tomás Acea is characterized by its mausoleums and Italian marble sculptures that are integrated into the natural landscape in a harmonious balance, creating a unique spot to visit. From its exterior, the amazing main façade stands out, which is the result of Cuban republic art.
Here there are the burial places of very significant personalities in the history of Cienfuegos city and Cuba that you will be able to contemplate.
