The Plaza Mariana Grajales Square in Cuba is on the borderline between the city centre and the outskirts of Guantánamo, near the most significant buildings of this Cuban city.
n 1985, the square was founded to honour the emblematic feminine figure Mariana Grajales for her interventions during the Independence fights, among other things. Apart from that, the way this square reflects history using symbolic elements is something significant. Each column out of six refers to a historic Cuban period of time, event or important figure. Although theoretically it is a square, it consists of three different areas. The second one is a wide area which is ideal for diverse activities. Come and try them out! Let your imagination fly! The third part of the square gathers together a museum, gardens and representative stones of the municipality.
