The Biblioteca Policarpo de Guantánamo (Policarpo de Guantánamo Library) sums up the history of Cuba. It consists of a large variety of books, documents and historic archives,The library was built in 1972 and it is located in the heart of old town, which means it is easy to find and swing by.
At first, it might look like an ordinary building. Its historic significance relies on the architect José Leticio Salcines and in the olden days it served as the city council for 16 years. Besides, many assassin trials of the dictator Fulgencio Batista took place in it.
