Cayo Conuco (Conuco Key) is the closest Cayería del Norte (Northern Keys) island off the coast of Villa Clara, Cuba. It is located 7 km away from Caibarién, a 15-minute boat ride away from the coast of the main island, and 62 km away from the province’s capital city, Santa Clara.

Visitors who come to enjoy the island’s main attraction: quiet camping areas, cozy rustic cabins equipped with bedrooms, televisions, a small cafeteria, nice restaurant, and recreational areas for children to enjoy, will find that Cayo Conuco is the perfect environment for everyone.

Cayo Conuco was exploited by its locals for years, but the island has managed to preserve a great part of its original exuberance and charm thanks to reforestation efforts led on local and national levels. The Recuperación de Áreas Degradadas (Demolished Area Recovery Project) is one of the many government-led projects.
