The Plaza de la Solidaridad is located in the interior of Camagüey, in Cuba. This plaza has unparalleled value, additionally, it is one of the busiest historical locations in the city.
The location dates back to the 17th century and is located in one of the most central areas of the urban area. It began by being called Plaza de La Soledad and, later on, Plaza del Gallo, until it finally changed to the name as we know it today. It is located at the intersection of two of the main streets, which makes it very accessible from any corner of the city.
As usual in this village, it has a fabulous church, called Iglesia de la Soledad, which concentrates all the ideals of the colonial period, as well as evidence of the Creole identity of its ancestors.
Today, it is an important centre of convergence for both the population of Camagüey and the curious tourists, which is partly due to its proximity to calle Maceo, the main commercial route in the city.
You can find several interesting establishments in the vicinity, such as the unique and old Hostal Camino de Hierro or the well-known Pizzería del Gallo.
And in the interior park, you can enjoy constant recreational and cultural activities.
