The tiny Museo Las Coloradas (Las Coloradas Museum) in Cuba, located between the municipalities of Niquero and Pilón, very close to the Playa Las Coloradas, may seem at first somehow skippable, but its small size and short tour is exactly what makes it a pleasant and fun visit.
The museum aims at showing how the Granma campaign was developed in which Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara among others, landed on the island and tried to end Batista’s dictatorship.
The party piece of the museum is that it is based on the same paths that these men used. You are able to put yourself in their shoes and feel the energy with which they arrived in Cuba by taking each and every one of their steps little by little, as the journey is approximately 1 km long.
