The Parque Céspedes (Céspedes Park) is located right in the heart of Manzanillo, Cuba. This space is characterised by its size in square shape reflecting harmony and allowing plantation of big normal trees and palm trees. This leafy vegetation gives the park a way more attractive and warm exterior plan, so that residents and tourists, of course, can have a walk and rest on its pedestrian streets whilst eyeing the square in the centre that looks like Alhambra of Granada due to its Moorish design.
The square is influenced by the typical Spanish architectural style from the 13th century, although it was built during the second decade of the past century by order of Manuel Ramírez León, mayor of the city. The three specialists intervening its construction were Carlos Salvador Seguera, Augiareich Valeriano and Canacio Rafael Orchella. Fundamentally they relied on elegance and originality, terms the Cuban have been friendly with for a long time. The rest of the monuments in the city prove this. This is partly explains why the square is known as the main cultural sample in Manzanillo, declared a Monumento Local (Local Monument) in 1991.
Also, we have to mention that its location has been chosen as the headquarters of the Banda Municipal de Conciertos (Municipal Band of Concerts) by locals. Do not hassle getting the feel of this famous spot in town and experience the traditional Cuban music.
