The cayo (key) is surrounded by a beautiful area of mangroves where you can see the local fauna and flora, especially many types of birds, the Cuban iguana and the beautiful black coral, which today is in danger of extinction. Next to the key, you will also find a delfinario (dolphinarium).
There is the possibility of renting a jet ski to take a closer look at the mangrove area and have a more exciting experience, although if you want to rest, you can take advantage of this relaxing day and lie down on this paradise beach to escape and disconnect from this dreamlike natural environment.
Furthermore, after an intense day at the beach, you can recharge your batteries in a ranchón type restaurant where they serve drinks and snacks for lunch and do some shopping at a small local craft stall.
The best way to get there is by a catamaran excursion from the Varadero area. The excursion stops halfway through the journey to the key to enjoy an unforgettable snorkelling experience on the coral reef with a multitude of colourful fish.
In addition, the excursion has entertainment, music and an open bar. Everything has been thought out so that you can enjoy an unforgettable day in paradise.
