The Birthplace of Antonio Maceo is one of the main house museums in Santiago de Cuba due to the significance that this character has in the history of Cuba. This now a National Monument was the second residence of Antonio Maceo and his family since 1857, although it has been erected as a museum open to the public since 1974, which is when neighbors and tourists of all kinds began to approach to pay tribute to the Cuban nation.
Antonio Maceo, nicknamed the “Bronze Titan” for his intervention in numerous campaigns, was established at the end of the 19th century as the most important general in the country's independence wars. Therefore, if you want to know more about the origins of the country you are going to visit or delve into the event that Antonio Maceo starred in, we advise you to visit this institution.
