The Church of Santo Tomás in Cuba is in the historic center of the province of Santiago de Cuba, more specifically in the well-known Crombet Park where there used to be a hermitage.
Built in 1715, it is a very interesting historical and artistic place to see on your visit because, although there are not many written testimonies about it, events of great figures of the country were officiated inside, such as the baptism of Antonio Maceo and his mother, or the marriage of his parents. In fact, precisely because of its close relationship with the history of the country, but also with the religion and culture of the people of Santiago, it has been one of those that has been most protected lately.
However, before entering or after leaving it is advisable to go through the square of the same name, where along its more than 1,000 meters you will find a place that, despite its frequent hustle and bustle, is ideal to rest from your trip and have a drink in order to recharge your batteries.
