The Nuestra Señora del Carmen Church in the historic center of Santiago de Cuba is one of the many temples in the Cuban city with a natural charm preserved from the time of its construction in 1750.
This humble-looking temple with a single nave and extremely simple design was inaugurated in 1796, lacking the bell tower, presumably demolished in a natural disaster in 1852. Despite not being a building with imposing characteristics, it is still a beautiful historical relic of colonialism in Santiago de Cuba.
