The Loma de San Juan is a hill in Santiago de Cuba that has gone down in history for being the last and bloodiest scene of the Spanish-Cuban-American War that took place in Cuba in 1998. Coming here will help you get to know it first hand, one of the most momentous events in the country. Not only that, you will also be able to put a face to the three leaders belonging to the three sides that entered the conflict (Arsenio Linares, the rebel Mambisí and William Shafter), since three statues were built that today continue to rise in the middle of the esplanade.
