When Cuba comes to mind lovely colored buildings, sunny streets, warm wind, and antique American cars from the 1950s and 60s strolling down the street may come to mind. Colorful Chevrolets and Cadillacs are part of the iconic Cuban landscape and what better place to admire them up close than the Museo del Automóvil (Automobile Museum) in Old Havana.
The museum features antique cars as well as the protagonists of Cuban automobile history. Its two main exhibitions display over 40 cars, among them the Commander Camilo Cienfuego’s Oldsmobile, “Che” Guevara’s Chevrolet Impala, and Cuban poet, Flor Loynaz’s FIAT as well as some of the first cars to ever circulate Cuba.
