Havana's Chinatown is located very close to Capitolio Nacional de Cuba (Cuba's National Capitol), in the Centro Habana district of Havana, the country's capital. It is the largest and most famous Chinatown in all of Latin America. It is famous because, even today, its residents and descendants of immigrants of Chinese origin continue to preserve many of their traditions and customs.
Its entrance is marked by a beautiful portico that follows China's custom of maintaining the main entrance in its neighbourhoods.
Even today, traditions such as celebrating the Lunar New Year and the anniversaries of the first Chinese arrivals on the island are preserved. There is also a famous Chinese cinema where films are shown in their original version and a famed pharmacy with homoeopathic medicines of Asian origin.
